Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and loopsconnect when you use loopsconnect.com, the CONNECT app, or a free LOOP workspace. Please read them; by signing up for or using either app, you accept them.
The short version
- CONNECT is free. It helps people find each other; it doesn’t provide the help itself, and helpers don’t work for us.
- You must be 18 or over, use your real name, and treat people well.
- Any arrangement, including payment, is between you and the other person. Use your judgement and stay safe.
- Free LOOP workspaces are for teams of up to 25 people, and unused workspaces are deleted after 90 days. Self-hosted LOOP is covered by its own open-source licence (AGPL-3.0).
Who we are
loopsconnect.com, CONNECT and free LOOP workspaces are run by Vijay Gade, an individual based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@loopsconnect.com.
What CONNECT is
CONNECT lets people ask for everyday help (a ride, an errand, a hand with something) and lets others offer it, first within their own circle and then nearby.
- We’re a platform, not a provider. We don’t provide rides, deliveries, repairs or any other help ourselves, and helpers aren’t our employees, agents or contractors.
- We don’t check people. We don’t verify identities, run background checks, or inspect vehicles, skills or licences. Ratings and circles help, but they’re not a guarantee.
- We don’t handle money. An amount on a request is only a record of what you agreed. You pay or settle directly with each other.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- Use your real name and an email address you control. One account per person.
- Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
Using CONNECT well
When you use CONNECT, you agree not to:
- ask for or offer anything illegal, dangerous or sexual, or anything that needs a licence or permit you don’t have;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against, mislead or defraud anyone;
- post someone else’s personal information without their permission;
- use CONNECT for advertising, spam, or running a business under the guise of help, without our agreement;
- fake finish codes, ratings or reports, or create accounts to get around a suspension;
- scrape, copy or overload the service, probe its security, or interfere with how it works.
Rate people honestly, based on what actually happened.
Your safety
You decide whom to help and whom to accept help from. Some sensible precautions:
- Start with your circle, and check ratings.
- Meet in public where you can, and tell someone where you’re going.
- Don’t share passwords, bank details or one-time codes from other services.
- Trust your instincts. You can cancel at any time.
In an emergency, call 112. CONNECT is not an emergency service. To report someone, open the request and tap Something went wrong? Raise it instead, or email us.
What you post
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people it’s meant for, only to run CONNECT. You confirm you have the right to post it.
We may remove anything that breaks these terms or the law.
Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using CONNECT at any time, and delete your account yourself under You › Delete my account, or ask us at hello@loopsconnect.com.
We may suspend or close an account, or limit what it can do, if it breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it’s safe and practical, we’ll tell you why.
We may change or stop CONNECT. If we plan to shut it down, we’ll give you reasonable notice.
Disagreements between users
If something goes wrong between you and another person, try to sort it out with them first. You can report it in the app; we may look into it, step in or take action on accounts, but we aren’t obliged to resolve disputes, and we can’t recover money or property for you.
Our responsibility
CONNECT and free LOOP workspaces are provided free and “as is”. We work to keep it running well, but we don’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or right for your purpose.
As far as the law allows:
- We’re not responsible for what other users do or don’t do, including the quality, safety or legality of any help, or any loss, injury or damage that results from it.
- We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income or opportunities.
- Our total liability to you for anything to do with CONNECT is limited to ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
You agree to cover our reasonable costs if someone makes a claim against us because of how you used CONNECT in breach of these terms.
Free LOOP workspaces
Anyone aged 18 or over can create a free LOOP workspace for their organisation at loop.loopsconnect.com. By creating one, you confirm you’re allowed to set it up for that organisation.
- Limits. The free plan is for up to 25 people per workspace, without file attachments or AI drafting, and up to two workspaces per person. We may change these limits; we’ll tell admins at least 30 days ahead of any change that affects an existing workspace.
- Admins are responsible for their workspace: who they add or let join, and how it’s used. Everyone in it must follow the conduct rules in these terms.
- Your content stays yours. Admins can export everything, or delete the workspace, at any time.
- Unused workspaces are deleted. If nobody opens a workspace for 80 days, we email its admins. If it’s still unused after 90 days, we delete it and everything in it.
- We may pause or remove a workspace that breaks these terms or the law, puts others at risk, or overloads the service. Where it’s safe and practical, we’ll tell its admins first.
- Waitlist. While LOOP is new, the number of free workspaces is limited, and new sign-ups may join a waitlist.
- The free plan is provided “as is”, like CONNECT, and the liability limits below apply. For more people, attachments or full control, you can self-host LOOP at no cost.
Self-hosted LOOP
LOOP is also free, open-source software that you can download from GitHub and run on your own server. It is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, which governs your use of it and provides it without warranty.
We don’t operate, host or have access to self-hosted LOOP installations. The organisation running an installation is responsible for it, for its users’ data, and for any terms it sets for its own people.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction over any dispute about them, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as CONNECT changes. We’ll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before any significant change takes effect. If you keep using CONNECT after that, you accept the new terms; if you don’t agree, you can close your account.
